About Rocky Mountain Colorado Wedding Officiant Heidi Lord

Born and raised in Northern Minnesota, I learned to love the outdoors from an early age. I grew up in a very small town and spent most of my time with my family. My house was a block from the lake, so many a day was spent soaked to the bone and covered in sand! We had two cabins owned by my aunts and uncles that lead to repeated summers of water skiing, fishing and canoeing with my sister and cousins. Since my dad was the president of the local snowmobile club, my winters were consumed with snowmobiling and clearing trails. Of course, we were skiers too. I even had a

I've spent most of my life making music-I kicked and screamed when my grandma made me take piano lessons in the third grade but grew to love it when I got to start playing percussion in middle school band. From there I was hooked. I went to college at St. Cloud State University where I earned a Bachelor of Music degree. During my college career I performed with a number of ensembles including the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra. After seven years in the group as a musician and as the orchestra manager, I left town with a fistful of knowledge about arts administration and knew that I would move into the operations side of music.

My experience with the SCSO lead me to Aspen and the Aspen Music Festival where I currently work when I'm not officiating weddings. I love the environment of Aspen and the mesh of people that work and play here! The summers are filled with the Festival's concert line up, camping and exploring. The winter is all about skiing! It's a beautiful place and I enjoy it immensely.

My other not-so-secret secret is that I love weddings! In addition to the weddings at which I've officiated, I've been a Maid of Honor four times and would do it a thousand times over! One of my greatest joys is seeing the happiness of a couple about to embrace the commitment of marriage and start a life together. Being able to create that special day for a couple is very important to me. I want you to have the ceremony of your dreams and will do what I can to give you that. I am passionate about making it the best day of your life-stress free, worry free and an expression of who you are!

I just wanted to let you know that Heidi was PERFECT!! She couldn't have been a better match for us. The ceremony was everything we hoped it would be. We couldn't be happier. So thank you, thank you, thank you!!
