About Matt
I am a California native who grew up in the Pacific Northwest, and have lived in quite a few places before coming to rest in the beautiful mountains of Colorado. Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, Florida all had wonderful things to offer, and I am very grateful to have called these places my home for a time. While it was my job that brought me to the Rocky Mountains, it was the opportunity to meet the love of my life that has kept me here. I truly believe that I am one of the luckiest guys in the world! Adding to the love and companionship of my wonderful lady Tawnya are our two dogs, a pair of Siberian huskies that round out our family.

I currently make my home in the beautiful mountain town of Granby, only a stones throw from some of the best skiing, mountain biking, and hiking in the entire region. Waking up every morning to the wonderful scenery of the Rocky Mountains is truly inspiring.
I have a brother and twin sisters who still live in Oregon, and I get back there a couple of times a year for visits. Coming from a close-knit family, it gives me great pleasure to witness and facilitate the union of two people who are embarking on the journey that will become their own unique family.

When I'm not performing weddings, I enjoy riding dirt bikes, as well as all sorts of other outdoor activities. We like to take our dogs camping with us during the summer, and they love to play in the snow with us when winter comes. We are also avid square dancers, and we travel all over the country to attend festivals and square dance conventions. I have also recently started calling square dances, and have called dances around the state for many different organizations and groups.
It would truly be my pleasure to participate in your special day, and I will be honored when I am able to introduce you to the crowd as "Mr. and Mrs" for the first time!

The way that you took your time and were so attentive to us really put me at ease, and I have to say, although I thought I would dread the ceremony the most, it was my FAVORITE part of the wedding day.
